The chemical cleaning of heat exchangers - plate or cylindrical - is a job that is performed to remove the salts from their interior and to increase their performance again at the original levels. It can be done directly or after performing mechanical cleaning.

In the case of stainless sterilizers, the use of hydrochloric acid is not permissible since it affects the metal surfaces and so we use appropriate organic acids.

It is a job requiring specialization, special equipment and great experience since it poses a risk to both the equipment and the personnel performing it.

It is recommended to perform it every time there is a reduction in the heat exchanger performance.
